Her dress Old and tattered
Her skirt Covered in spatters
Her shoes Sewn and mended

Nothing of sheer elegance
Nor anything of sheer beauty
Not bright but dull

This is not true

Without the make up she is pure
Without the perfect dress she is real
With the mends and patches she does not care
Sheer beauty if you look
Bellow the make up and the dress
The most perfect of them all

Speed it gathers
The first corner and introduction
The tire skims the edge
A kiss with pain
But not a meeting

The wheels spin
Like those who do not know what they could loose
Thrown away with no concern
The gravel from the ground

Like a moment of clarity
Swimming through the air
Free from the earth
Then brought back down with a bang
The bike lands

Clenched as if in fear stopping and jutering
Screaming with scare
The brakes tighten
The wheel stops its motion
Pulling it round the corner
Leaving a mark where it has already been
